Get ready to explore everything Cedar Key has to offer. Golf carts are the perfect way to get around our 2 mile island. Enjoy the restaurants, museums, galleries, sunsets, and history. Maybe even head out to the shortest runway in the state of Florida and take a plane tour. We will provide you with a detailed map and our knowledgeable staff will be sure to have you pointed in the right direction.
Kayaks
Get ready to explore the Forgotten Coast! You will be paddling through the most pristine estuaries in the state of Florida. We have multiple paddle destinations from our launch site’s and our knowledgeable staff will help direct you to the best location based on tide, weather, and ability.
Anything you bring on a boat may get wet!
Prepare as you would for a day at the beach. Clothing may get damp even if not swimming, so dress accordingly. We have changing rooms if you need to put on bathing suits once here, and footwear is optional.
Sunscreen and water are always worthwhile bringing on the boat with you. We have a water fountain to fill up any reusable bottles you may have.
Parking facilities are at our location.
Please be advised that on busy days parking spaces can be limited. We have alternative parking down the road if needed. We will find ways to accommodate you!
Walk-ins are welcome for kayak rentals, but if other people have reserved boats we may not be able to accommodate your group. If you know you will be visiting, call ahead to ensure the paddle craft you want will be waiting for you.
We are very busy during holiday weekends, so do make a booking if you plan on visiting us for these.
We're hooked!
This was the first place we kayaked on a visit to Cedar Key in early 2018 and we're hooked! Great first time out. The folks here know their stuff, they're friendly and helpful, and the equipment is excellent. Our first visit inspire us to rent kayaks in other parts of Florida and ultimately led us to purchase kayaks of our own. Went back for another visit this year and rented again. This is our go-to place for kayaking in Cedar Key.
